FAQs

Replacing your windows and doors

Take the stress out of window replacement by working with a local Infinity expert.

An Infinity by Marvin window installer works on an arch window installation outside.

Planning

Handling local codes

From pulling permits to helping you identify permits that need to be pulled, Infinity's local independent partners can help navigate local codes and regulations.

In-home replacement consultation

Talking about replacement windows and doors might not sound like a lot of fun, but we’re changing that. During your appointment, your Infinity expert will take the time to do a needs assessment. They will work with you to explore our style options to design the perfect windows or doors for you and answer any questions you may have.

Measuring your window and door openings

Your window and door openings will be measured twice to make sure the right size is ordered. During your consultation, your windows and doors will first be measured to generate your quote. Once your project proposal has been signed, a measure technician will return to double-check all measurements before your order is placed.

Professional ordering

Rather than ordering windows and doors on your own at a lumberyard or at a big box store and relying on them to submit everything correctly, your Infinity windows will be ordered directly from our factory. Our production team custom builds all Infinity windows and doors to your project’s exact window and door opening measurements. Your Infinity expert will handle all the details so your order arrives exactly how you specified. If something doesn’t turn out how you wanted, they work with us to make it right. Since they’re managing every detail of your installation, you won’t have to worry about ordering the wrong window or door.

Preparation

Preparing your home for installation

Windows can crank open, glide open or lift open — so think about functionality for your specific room. Since window styles offer a varying amount of ventilation, be sure to consider just how much airflow you need in your space.

An Infinity by Marvin window installer works on the rough opening of a window on a white brick home.

Installation

Window and door installation

Even with a few home improvement projects under your belt, window and door replacement is an art. From shimming to trim work, using a professional window and door replacement company like an Infinity local independent partner gives you peace of mind. Plus, they take care of the clean up.

Protection

Warranty

A reputable window replacement company should stand behind their work with a labor warranty. With DIY installation, you have to stand behind your work. Infinity provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty on its windows and doors. We’re proud to stand behind our product.
