Stylish bedroom window ideas for a picturesque look

Windows impact your bedroom's design and sense of well-being. Studies show the benefits of natural light in bedrooms and the impact on your health.

Take advantage of gorgeous outside views with stylish bedroom windows. Consider these ideas for unique looks and function with Infinity windows.

Double hung windows

Double-hung windows have classic appeal. When paired together in an assembly, they create stunning scenes. They also invite warm, natural light into your bedroom for comfort.

Double-hung windows have two sashes that open and close. Refreshing breezes enter the bedroom while allowing extra ventilation and air circulation.

Double-hung windows have the advantage of stretching high in a room. Tall double-hung windows can suit high-ceiling bedrooms better than other windows.

Bay or bow bedroom windows

You can opt for a bedroom bay window. A bay window has two flanking windows set at an angle paired with a center window. They can include three double hung windows mulled together, for large bedroom windows. A bay window also creates a cozy nook where you can soak up sunshine in the morning. Infinity Bow Windows have a similar design but curve outward. Bow windows can stretch as wide as six windows for panoramic views.

Bedroom casement windows

Casement windows provide uninterrupted views and ample fresh air. Bay windows often use casement windows because of the scenes they create. They seal tightly to help prevent air leakage to keep a bedroom feeling comfortable.

Bedroom slider windows

Slider windows can span wide for big views. They fit well in rambler and ranch style homes because of their width. You can also create a triple sash slider window to increase the space for natural light to illuminate.

Bedroom window colors

The window colors you choose for your bedroom can complement your color scheme. Window color can also help enhance features like natural light. White windows have classic appeal. They also reflect natural light to heighten its effect in a bedroom.

Other colors, like black windows, have gained popularity. They create contrast in a bedroom to make windows stand out.

If you prefer a softer color, brown windows have warmth and charm. Our EverWood® interior finish looks and feels like wood windows, and you can stain the windows to match your bedroom’s color scheme.

Infinity interior window colors include our Sierra finish for a beige look. You can also pick our Bronze finish for a softer dark window look.

Bedroom window design ideas

The design of a primary bedroom can influence what windows you choose. You might enjoy the layout of your existing windows. Or you could expand your bedroom windows for a grander design.

You can remodel your room to accommodate things like bay or bow windows. Some bedrooms include features like a window above a bed. In other bedrooms, windows appear on either side of a bed. Casement and double hung windows fit there because of their vertical orientation.

Remember to consider window size. Bedrooms must have a window that meets egress code requirements for emergency exits. An egress window must be 5.7-square feet, 20-inches wide, 24-inches high, and no higher than 44 inches from the floor.

Contemporary styled homes sometimes feature sharp angles. Our special shape windows can fit into those spaces to help create floor to ceiling window looks.

When you start to consider bedroom window ideas, it’s a good time to think about window treatment options. Your bedroom curtains and blinds play a role in the room’s style and function. Drapes and curtains can add texture to master bedroom windows. Blinds help keep light out when it’s bedtime and open to warming natural light during the day. They also help with bedroom privacy.
